Chains of Darkness – Rays of Light

There are powerful forces surrounding us that allow us to soar to new heights or chain us to the depths of hell.

Choosing what path to choose depends on self-awareness. You decide.

The seven chains of Darkness:

1

Regret

  • I should have done it when I had the chance. Now it’s too late.

2

Shame

  • I’m a disgusting creature, having no value. I’m ashamed of myself.

3

Guilt

  • It’s my fault it happened. Everything bad happens because of me

4

Helplessness (Victim Mentality)

  • I was born a loser. I’m weak and without power. I can’t do anything for myself.

5

Social Isolation

  • I’m all alone. No one understands me or caress for me. It’s as if I don’t exist in this world, or maybe the world doesn’t exist and it’s just me, surrounded by figments of my own imagination.

6

Fear

  • I’m afraid of losing everything.
  • It I try it, I will fail and bad things will happen to me and others.
  • If I commit, I will regret it.
  • If I try it, people will make fun of me and shun me.
  • I have to do it or people will hate me. I am afraid of ridicule.

The seven rays of Light:

1

Hope

  • There will always be other chances.

2

Self-Worth

  • I have intrinsic value. I am worth it.

3

Forgiveness

  • It is true I made some mistakes, but I can forgive myself and then work to correct my mistakes and become a better person.

4

Personal-Power

  • It is true that I have failed countless time and face a great many challenges. However, I know I have the power to overcome any and all obstacles.

5

Human Warmth

  • I care for others and other people care for me.

6

Courage

  • Even if I lose everything, I can still rebuild
  • Bad things will always happen, regardless of our actions. We need to believe in ourselves and the hard work we and others put in to make it happen.
  • If we don’t commit, we will regret it. Therefore the best thing to do is move forward.
  • People will make fun of me, but I think what I’m doing is worth it.
  • People will ridicule me, but I need to believe in myself.

Mancer - Magic User

A mancer is a magic user that is limited to yielding a specific type of magic. The most famous types of mancers are pyromancer and necromancer.

To find the name of a mancer, you take the name of the element the mancer yields and add the suffix mancer to it.

When naming mancers, you should look at languages such as Latin.

Here is the list of mancers I’ve used in my stories, and some I’ve encountered.

In my book, Princess in the Clouds, I have twenty elements, organized according to the five Platonic solids.

The Elements

Base Elements
The four-sided Tetrahedron has Earth, Water, Air, and Fire to give the base elements.

Extended Elements
Add Metal and Lightning to get the six-sided Hexahedron or cube. This gives us the extended elements.

Natural Elements
Add Nature and Power to get the eight-sided Octahedron. This gives us the natural elements.

In addition, we can define specialized mancers, seen in many places.
